How deep is deep
Deep means slow and specific, not harsh.
You decide what deep is. We lean in until you say that is right.
Where the muscle is thick, in the back, hips and thighs, we use a forearm. It spreads pressure over a wide, soft surface and lets us go slowly. Where the muscle is small, in the neck, hands and feet, we use thumbs and fingertips. Either way the rule is the same: you can breathe out while we work. If you are holding your breath, we ease off.
What deep looks like here
Slow strokes, one area at a time
A forearm on large muscles, thumbs on small ones
A breath out as we press in
Lighter the moment you say so

The pressure check
Three checks in every session
Pressure that is right at minute five can be wrong at minute forty. So we stop and ask three times.
- 01Start
Step 1: At the start
You tell us where to work and what to leave alone. We start lighter than we will end, then ask: lighter, about right or deeper?
- 02Middle
Step 2: In the middle
Halfway, we stop and ask again. Warmed-up muscle often takes more, and sometimes less. Either answer is a good one.
- 03End
Step 3: Before the end
With the last stretch ahead we check once more and ease off, so the session closes slowly.

Good to know
Questions before your first session
Will it be deep enough?
If you want it to be. We start lighter and build, and we check three times, so you can steer. If you want the deepest work we do, say so at the start.
What if it is too much?
Say so, and we ease off right away. Deep work is pressure you can breathe through, and you hold the dial.
What do I wear?
Whatever is comfortable. Undress only as far as you like; we work around whatever you keep on. You are covered by a sheet or towel the whole time, and only the part we are working on is uncovered.
Can I stop?
Yes, at any time and for any reason. You can pause, change position or end the session, and we stop right away.
How long should I book?
Sixty minutes is the usual first visit. Book 75 or 90 if you want a second area, or choose a 30-minute session for one area.
What if I am ill or pregnant?
If you are unwell, tell us and we will move your visit. If you are pregnant, ask your doctor or midwife before booking and tell your therapist how far along you are.
