Deep tissue

Slow, firm work on the areas you choose

For people who want the pressure to be real and the pace to be unhurried.

A deep tissue session is one or two areas worked in depth, not a quick pass over the whole body. You tell us where, we start lighter than we end, and the pressure is checked three times so the hour stays yours.

  • 60, 75 or 90 minutes

  • Back, hips and legs, or wherever you ask

  • Pressure checked at the start, middle and end

A session

From the first question to the last stroke

  1. 01

    Step 1: Talk it through

Where to work, what to leave alone and how you want to be covered.

  2. 02

    Step 2: Start lighter

A few minutes of warmth first, then the first pressure check.

  3. 03

    Step 3: Work in depth

Slow, firm work on the areas you chose, with a check at the middle.

  4. 04

    Step 4: Ease off

A last check, a gentler close and a minute to sit up.

Good to know

Pressure, covering and who should ask first

  • Pressure

We check at the start, in the middle and before the end. Say lighter or deeper at any time.

  • Covered

A sheet or towel the whole time. Only the part we are working on is uncovered.

  • Ask first

If you are pregnant or unwell, ask your doctor or midwife before booking, and tell your therapist.

  • What to wear and bring

Wear what is comfortable and bring a water bottle. We supply the sheets, the table and an unscented oil or lotion.
