Our policies
Read these before you book. Each starts from the same promise: you are covered, you choose, and you can stop.
Undressing and draping
You are covered by a sheet or towel the whole time. Only the part we are working on is uncovered, and it is covered again when we move on. Undress only as far as you are comfortable; whatever you keep on, we work around.
Pressure, consent and stopping
Before we start we ask about pressure and any area you want us to avoid. We check again at the middle and before the end. Tell us at any time to go lighter or firmer. You can pause, change position or end the session whenever you like, for any reason, and we stop right away.
When to ask your doctor first
If you are pregnant, recovering from surgery or an injury, or have been told to avoid massage, ask your doctor first and tell your therapist when you book. We do not diagnose and we do not give medical advice.
Booking and deposits
Choose a length, a day and, if you like, a therapist when you book. We take no deposit. A card on file holds your time, and you pay at the end of your session.
Canceling and running late
Please give us 24 hours to move or cancel, since your therapist has held that time. If you are running late, the session ends on time for the next client. If you are ill, tell us and we will move your visit without question.
If you miss an appointment
If you do not arrive and we cannot reach you, the visit counts as a missed appointment, and we may ask for a card on file before the next booking. We would rather hear from you, so call or text and we will find another time.
Children and companions
Massage is for adults. A companion may wait in the front room. Please arrange care for children before your visit.
Oils and scents
We use an unscented oil or lotion unless you ask for a scent, and we can tell you every ingredient we use. Tell us about a nut or fragrance allergy when you book and we will bring something else.
If you're not happy
If a session was not right, tell us within a few days and we will make it right.
Tipping
Tipping is optional. You can add it when you pay, or hand it to your therapist.
